April 28 2023 14:21:12     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

According to monitoring data from SunSirs, as of April 27, 2023, the reference price of n-butanol in the Shandong region of China was 7,400 RMB/ton. Compared with April 1 (reference price of n-butanol was 7,733 RMB/ton), the price was reduced by 333 RMB/ton, a decrease of 4.31%.

Analysis review

From the data monitoring chart of SunSirs, it can be seen that since April (4.1-4.27), the overall market situation of n-butanol in the Shandong region of China had been fluctuating and declining. In early April, the domestic n-butanol market in Shandong Province rose first and then fell. At the beginning of the month, the downstream demand for n-butanol was relatively stable, and the supply and demand transmission was relatively smooth, supporting the steady rise of the n-butanol market. On April 9, the market price of n-butanol in Shandong Province rose to the peak of this month, with the price reference near 7,833 RMB/ton. After the completion of the downstream stage stocking, the demand for n-butanol in the market returned to calm, and the n-butanol market immediately began to decline. As of April 15th, the reference price of n-butanol was 7,533 RMB/ton, a half month decline of 2.59%.In late April, under the influence of insufficient downstream demand, the overall n-butanol market continued to decline slightly and deeply until the 23rd, the week before the May Day holiday, the n-butanol market ushered in the downstream pre festival stock up. With the improvement of demand, the n-butanol market actively rose with the increase of trading volume. However, after the end of the downstream pre festival stock preparation, the market was light again, and the market price of n-butanol fell rapidly. As of April 27, the market price of n-butanol in Shandong Province in China was around 7,200-7,400 RMB/ton, with a decline of 4.31% in the month.

Market outlook

As of April 27th, the trading atmosphere of n-butanol on the market was average, and new orders were relatively cautious. The n-butanol data analyst from SunSirs predicts that in the short term, the domestic Shandong n-butanol market will mainly adjust in a narrow range. The specific trend still needs to pay more attention to specific news changes on the supply and demand side.
