March 22 2024 14:28:00     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

According to monitoring data from SunSirs, as of March 21, 2023, the reference price of n-butanol in Shandong Province, China was 7,800 RMB/ton. Compared with March 17 (reference price of n-butanol was 7,966 RMB/ton), the price decreased by 166 RMB/ton, a decrease of 2.09%.

From the data monitoring chart of SunSirs, it can be seen that this week, the domestic n-butanol market continued to show a weak downward trend. During the week, the focus of negotiations in the domestic Shandong n-butanol market continued to move towards a lower level. As of March 21, the domestic Shandong n-butanol market price reference was around 7,750-7,850 RMB/ton, with a price reduction of around 100-200 RMB/ton.

Factors influencing the market trend of n-butanol

In terms of demand: As of March 21st, downstream demand for n-butanol was weak, and downstream new orders were cautious, with only essential purchases being the main focus. Therefore, the overall support for n-butanol on the demand side was insufficient.

On the supply side: As of March 21st, the spot supply of n-butanol in the field was loose, and there was overall supply pressure on the supply side. The overall support for n-butanol from the supply side was weak.

Market outlook

As of March 21st,, the trading atmosphere in the n-butanol market was mild, and the overall supply side of n-butanol was still relatively loose. The overall support from the supply side had shown signs of improvement. After a slight boost in downstream demand, the focus was mainly on rigid demand procurement. SunSirs' n-butanol data analyst believes that in the short term, the domestic n-butanol market will mainly adjust its operation narrowly, and the specific trend still needs to pay more attention to changes in supply and demand news.
