According to data from SunSirs, on April 26, 2023, the average spot market price of ethylene oxide in China was 6,500 RMB/ton, a decrease of 9.72% compared to the beginning of the month; Compared to the price of 6,800 RMB/ton at the beginning of the year, a decrease of 4.41%.
Analysis review
On the 26th, Sanjiang Chemical Co., Ltd. quoted a factory price of 6,500 RMB/ton for ethylene oxide; Satellite Chemical Co., Ltd. quoted an external factory price of 6,500 RMB/ton for ethylene oxide; Lianhong Xinke's external execution of ethylene oxide was 6,500 RMB/ton.
The terminal demand was lower than expected, and the price center of the main downstream polycarboxylate water reducing agent monomer had shifted downward. The production enthusiasm of polycarboxylate water reducing agent monomer enterprises was not high, and the demand for ethylene oxide was weakened.
On the raw material side, the price of ethylene had moved downwards. On the 26th, the average price in the domestic market was 6,800 RMB/ton, with a daily decrease of 200 RMB/ton, cost support was weakened.
