According to data monitoring by SunSirs, as of March 31, the price of bulk dichloromethane in Shandong Province was 2,572 RMB/ton, down 3.47% from 2,665 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month, with a monthly high of 2845 RMB/ton.

Analysis review

The price of raw material methanol dropped significantly, while the cost of dichloromethane declined significantly; At the beginning of the month, the pressure on the supply side of the dichloromethane market was relatively low, coupled with the rising price of downstream refrigerant R32 during the peak season, which timely replenished the inventory of dichloromethane, driving up the price of dichloromethane; In the second half of the month, with the early shutdown, the restart of the load reduction device, or the lifting of the load to normal operation, the pressure on the supply side of dichloromethane increased. In addition, the centralized replenishment of the downstream warehouse had come to an end, and in the later stage, and in the later stage, transactions were mostly sporadic, and the price of dichloromethane haddropped from a high level.

In March, the dichloromethane operating rate was relatively low at the beginning of the month and increased in the later period, resulting in a gradual increase in supply pressure. In March, the price of raw material methanol fell sharply, while the cost of dichloromethane fell sharply. According to SunSirs, as of March 31, the spot price of methanol was 2,561 RMB/ton, down 6.37% from the price of 2,735 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.

With the arrival of the traditional peak season, the market price of refrigerant R 32 was firm. After the centralized replenishment of dichloromethane at the end of February and the beginning of March, the purchase of dichloromethane was reduced compared with the previous period, the market turnover was small, and the support for dichloromethane was weaker.
