According to data monitoring by SunSirs, as of March 17, 2023, the domestic market price of MEK was referenced at 8,733 RMB/ton. Compared to March 12, 2023 (the reference price of MEK was 8,866 RMB/ton), the price was reduced by 133 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.50%.
Analysis review
As can be seen from the data monitoring chart of SunSirs, the overall domestic MEK market declined in a narrow range this week (3.13-3.17). At the beginning of the week, the MEK market as a whole was in a weak consolidation operation, the trading of new orders on the market was limited and the overall performance of downstream demand was insufficient. Under the influence of demand constraints, in the middle of the week, the focus of the MEK market began to decline in a narrow range, and some MEK suppliers reduced the shipment price of MEK by around 100-200 RMB/ton.
