SunSirs: The Transportation of Minmetals Resources has been Resumed at the Las Bambas Copper Mine in Peru
March 16 2023 09:40:00     Foreign media reported on March 13 that Minmetals Resources (MMG) said on Monday that it had resumed the transportation of copper concentrate at the Las Bambas copper mine in Peru from last Saturday (March 11). The site operation has returned to full load. The company said in a press release that the roadblocks that had affected the transportation of copper concentrate had been removed. After the recovery of copper concentrate transportation, Lasbanbas Copper will gradually reduce the on-site copper concentrate inventory.
The Las Bambas copper mine is a large open-pit copper mine located in Copibabas, Aplimac, southern Peru. The life of the mine is estimated to be more than 18 years. The copper mine produces copper concentrate through conventional processing methods, and the by-products are gold, silver and molybdenum concentrates.
