SunSirs: As of February 19, Canada's Wheat Export Volume Increased

Data released by Statistics Canada on Friday showed that Canada's wheat export slowed down in the 29th week of 2022/23.

Canada's grain year starts on August 1 and ends on July 31 of the next year. According to the forecast of the February supply and demand report of the Department of Agriculture of Canada, the export volume of wheat (excluding Durham) will reach 19.3 million tons in 2022/23, an increase of 56.5% year on year; The export volume of Durham wheat is expected to be 4.8 million tons, up 76.7% year on year; The export volume of barley is expected to be 3.67 million tons, up 37.4% year on year; The export volume of rapeseed is expected to be 8.6 million tons, up 63.8% year on year.

As of the week of February 19, Canada's wheat export volume was 312000 tons, compared with 365000 tons in the previous week. The export volume of wheat so far this year is 10.955 million tons, up 66.4% year on year, and 67.0% year on year last week.

The export volume of Dulun wheat in the current week was 106000 tons, compared with 166000 tons a week ago. So far this year, the export volume has reached 3.065 million tons, an increase of 115.2% year on year, and an increase of 108.6% year on year last week.

The export volume of barley in the current week was 135000 tons, compared with 123000 tons a week ago. So far this year, the export volume is 2.02 million tons, up 18.9% year on year, and 13.3% year on year last week.

The export volume of rapeseed in the current week was 191000 tons, compared with 182000 tons a week ago. The export volume so far this year is 4.89 million tons, up 30.8% year on year and 30.2% year on year last week.
