February 22 2023 13:48:31     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of February 17, the average price of refrigerant R22 was 19,000.00 RMB/ton, an increase of 2.70% compared with the price of 18,500.00 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month, and an increase of 9.62% compared with the same period last year.

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of February 17, the average price of refrigerant R134a was 24,500.00 RMB/ton, which was the same as the price at the beginning of the month, and decreased by 10.91% compared with the same period last year.

Analysis review

In February, the price of upstream raw material chloroform continued to rise within the month. As of February 17, the price of chloroform rose 4.21% within the month, while hydrofluoric acid continued to be weak, with a slight decrease of 1.71% within the month. In general, the cost of raw materials continued to be strong, and the price of R22 continued to rise this week under the support of the continuous rising cost.

In February, the price of hydrofluoric acid, the upstream raw material, continued to be weak, falling by 1.71% in the month as a whole, and the price of trichloroethylene dropped sharply after the year. In February, the price of raw material continued to fall, and under the pressure of cost, the price of domestic refrigerant R134a continued to be under pressure. Supported by the current low domestic R134a inventory, the price of R134a remained stable as a whole.

In terms of raw materials, domestic hydrofluoric acid prices continued to operate weakly after rising and falling back, and the further reduction of costs will further depress the domestic R134a prices in the future.

Market outlook

Refrigerant analysts from Business News believe that the domestic R22 market price is expected to continue to be stronger in the short term, supported by the continued higher cost of R22 upstream raw materials. In terms of R134a, the domestic R134a price is expected to decline under pressure in the short term due to the continued weak adjustment of raw material costs.
