Price trend

According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the average price of paraformaldehyde last week was 5,500 RMB/ton, and the average price this week was 5,333 RMB/ton, down 3.03%.

Analysis review

On August 9, Shandong Aldehyde Chemical Co., Ltd., with an annual output of 30,000 tons of paraformaldehyde, the ex-factory price of paraformaldehyde (96) including tax was 5,300 RMB/ton, which was 300 RMB/ton lower than the previous time; Linyi Shengyang Chemical Co., Ltd., with an annual output of 9,000 tons of paraformaldehyde, the ex-factory price of paraformaldehyde (96) including tax was 5,300 RMB/ton, which was 200 RMB/ton lower than last time; Zibo Qixing Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., with an annual output of 10,000 tons of paraformaldehyde, the ex-factory price of paraformaldehyde (96) including tax was 5,400 RMB/ton, which was the same as last time. The price of raw material methanol was weak, which dragged down the price of paraformaldehyde, and the market for paraformaldehyde was acceptable.

According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the average price of domestic methanol production enterprises in Shandong area was 2,585 RMB/ton on August 1, and the average price of domestic methanol production enterprises in Shandong area was 2,565 RMB/ton on August 12, a decrease of 0.77%.On May 12, the average price of domestic methanol production enterprises in Shandong area was 2,652 RMB/ton, and on August 12, the average price of domestic methanol production enterprises in Shandong area was 2,565 RMB/ton, down 3.30%.

Market outlook

Obviously dragged down by raw materials, the paraformaldehyde analysts of SunSirs predict that the price of paraformaldehyde may be weak.
