The European Commission predicted in its report on December 18th that the production of oilseeds (rapeseed, sunflower seeds, and soybeans) in the EU will reach 31.28 million tons in 2025/26, a decrease of 340,000 tons from the November forecast of 31.62 million tons, and an increase of 11.4% from 28.09 million tons in 2024/25 (last month's forecast increased by 12.6%). Among them, the rapeseed production in 2025/26 has been reduced to 2,016,000 tons (last month's forecast was 21.21 million tons, last year's 16.77 million tons), soybean production has been reduced to 2.76 million tons (last month's 290, last year's 300), and sunflower seed production has been reduced to 8.36 million tons (last month's 852, last year's 833).
