The domestic acetone market saw a narrow decline. Sinopec lowered its listed prices last week, with East China Petrochemical Company offering 4,800 RMB/ton. With the restart of Shanghai Cesar and increased production at Dalian Hengli, the operating rate of domestic phenol-acetone plants had risen to 75%, increasing shipping pressure and a downward market trend. Actual trading volume was limited, and trading was insufficient. As of August 8th, East China's August acetone shipments totaled 38,000 tons, with 16,000 tons arriving.

Market outlook
According to SunSirs, acetone prices are expected to see a slight increase next week. From a supply perspective, domestic production capacity remained relatively stable, imports were gradually replenishing, and port inventories remained high. From a demand perspective, downstream bisphenol A and isopropanol production increased, while MIBK prices fluctuated slightly. However, overall procurement remained primarily based on demand. However, demand for solvent products will improve after the hot weather subsides. From a cost perspective, the benzene market was performing to be stronger. As of August 8, the acetone market is at a low level. It is expected that the acetone market will be stable or rise slightly next week.
