According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of August 8, 2022, the reference price of silicone DMC in mainstream areas was 19,020 RMB/ton, compared with the price on August 1, 2022 (silicone DMC reference price was 19,500 RMB/ton) , the price was reduced by 480 RMB/ton, a decrease of 2.46%.

Analysis review

It can be seen from the data monitoring chart of SunSirs that in the first week of August (8.1-8.8), the overall domestic silicone DMC market fell weakly. The price of silicone DMC of major manufacturers in Shandong was slightly lowered by 200 RMB/ton in the week, and the quotation was around 18,800 RMB/ton. Compared with the end of July, the price of silicone DMC in the leading monomer factory was also adjusted downward. The current quotation was around 19,000-19,200 RMB/ton. The silicone DMC plant in the northwest region was operating normally, and the quotation of silicone DMC was around 19,000 RMB/ton. As of August 8, the domestic silicone DMC market price was around 18800-19200 RMB/ton. The domestic silicone DMC market dropped to a low level, the downstream just-in-demand procurement and stocking sentiment improved, the order volume was good, and the organic silicone DMC trading atmosphere was acceptable.

In terms of upstream silicon metal, since the beginning of August (8.1-8.5), the overall domestic silicon metal 441# market showed a slight upward movement. As of August 5, according to the data monitoring of SunSirs, on August 5, the reference price of metal silicon was 18,040 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.28% compared with August 1 (17,990 RMB/ton).

Market outlook

At present, after the downstream demand of silicone DMC meets the staged stocking and procurement, it is expected to give some support to the silicone DMC market in the short term.
