October 31 2019 14:46:51     SunSirs (Eva)

On October 30, the pig commodity index was 272.38, up 3.85 points from yesterday, a record high in the cycle, up 289.11% from 70.00, the lowest point on May 13, 2018. (Note: cycle refers to 2012-11-01 to now)

On October 30, the egg commodity index was 149.80, which was the same as that of yesterday, a record high in the cycle, 179.48% higher than the lowest point of 53.60 on May 18, 2017. (Note: cycle refers to 2013-12-01 till now)

According to the monitoring of SunSirs: in October, the price of pigs soared again. On the 30th, the average price of pigs was RMB 38 yuan / kg, and the price rose by more than 40%. In three months, the price of pigs has risen by 111%, and the flying pig reappeared. At the same time, the price of pigs has risen sharply, while the price of eggs has not been stable. On the 30th, the average price of eggs was RMB 11 yuan / kg, 19.81% higher, and nearly 40% higher in three months.

Since October, various regions have successively issued policies to support the recovery of pig production capacity, which has been recovered to some extent. According to the latest data from the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas, in September, the number of live pigs in large-scale pig farms with an annual output of more than 5000 pigs increased by 0.6% on a month on month basis, and the number of fertile sows increased by 3.7% on a month on month basis. At present, the stock of sows that can be bred is still low. It takes 5-6 months for piglets to reach commercial pigs. The production capacity of pigs still needs to be restored. The shortage of domestic pig supply has not been effectively alleviated. With the support of demand, the farmers are reluctant to sell the prices and the slaughterhouse raises the prices to supplement the stock to support the domestic pig market price rising. In some areas, the price of pigs has exceeded RMB 40 yuan / kg.

According to the data from the Ministry of Commerce, the wholesale price of meat rose to different degrees, including 51.21 yuan per kilogram of pork, up 11%; 65.81 yuan per kilogram of beef and 62.73 yuan per kilogram of mutton, up 1.2% and 1.7% respectively. The wholesale price of poultry products increased, among which the price of eggs and white striped chicken was 11.67 yuan and 20.22 yuan per kilogram, respectively, up 5.3% and 5.2%.

The sharp rise in pork price has continued to bring about a significant impact on the rise of chicken and egg prices. At present, the price of egg and chicken is at a seasonal historical annual high since 2012. The strong price of egg and chicken in the off-season in August reflects that the market is optimistic about the future demand. In addition, the price of pig has entered a rising cycle. Compared with egg, it is more favorable to eliminate the consumption of chicken and broiler. As a move of good quality and low price, egg The source of protein keeps rising. At present, the spillover effect of high price of pork continues to support the egg price. On the supply side, the number of laying hens on hand in September was 152 million, an increase of 1.91% month on month. The higher price of pigs may be maintained until the first half of next year, continuing to support the market price of eggs.

According to the SunSirs analysts of agricultural products, the four seasons is the peak season of meat and egg consumption. With the arrival of Spring Festival in January and the support of rigid demand, it still takes time for pig production capacity to recover. In the future, the price of pig eggs is easy to rise and hard to fall, and the rocket egg flying pig is still expected to last until the end of the year.
