According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the average price of paraformaldehyde was 6,500 RMB/ton at the beginning of this week, and the average price on weekends was 6,433 RMB/ton, and the quotation dropped 1.03%.
Analysis review
On February 18, Shandong Aldehyde Chemical Co., Ltd., with an annual output of 30,000 tons of paraformaldehyde, the ex-factory price of paraformaldehyde (96) was 6,000 RMB/ton including tax, which was the same as before the Spring Festival. with an annual output of 9,000 tons of paraformaldehyde, the ex-factory price of paraformaldehyde (96) was 6,300 RMB/ton including tax, which was 200 RMB/ton lower than before the Spring Festival. Zibo Qixing Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., with an annual output of 10,000 tons of paraformaldehyde, the ex-factory price of paraformaldehyde (96) was 7,000 RMB/ton including tax, which was the same as before the Spring Festival. After the Spring Festival, companies resumed work one after another, the market sentiment was heavier, and corporate quotations were relatively stable. The price of paraformaldehyde was higher before the holiday, and individual companies lowered their quotations after the holiday.
The upstream raw material methanol, according to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the domestic methanol market has recently rebounded within a narrow range. As of February 20, the average price of methanol producers in Shandong was 2,267 RMB/ton, a price drop of 3.92% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 14.09%.
