SunSirs: China SBR Market Fell slightly (January 25-29)

According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the domestic SBR market fell slightly during the week (January 25-29), with the price at 12,716.67 RMB/ ton at the beginning of the week and 12,700.00 RMB/ ton at the weekend, a slight decline of 0.13% overall.
Last week, the ex-factory price of domestic SBR petrochemical manufacturers was stable. As of January 29, the ex-factory price of 1502 of Jilin Petrochemical Company of PetroChina Northeast sales company was 12,600 RMB/ ton. Traders offer overall stable, individual slight adjustment, the overall market price slightly difficult to rush up. Near the Spring Festival, the lower reaches of the tire market continued to decline, according to SunSirs, as of January 21, the semi steel tire manufacturers' operating rate remained at 67.19%, down 1.68% month on month; all steel tire manufacturers' operating rate was 69.87%, down 1.22% month on month.
Butadiene continued to fall last week, styrene rose, the cost of SBR faceed support weakened. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of January 29, butadiene price was 6,056 RMB/ ton, down 2.09% from 6,185 RMB/ ton at the beginning of the week; as of January 29, styrene price was 6,883 RMB/ ton, up 2.73% from 6,700 RMB/ ton at the beginning of the week.
SunSirs analysts believe that at present, although the demand side is slightly weak, the supply side is tight, and the support for SBR is still strong. It is expected that the SBR market will remain strong in the short term.
