Price trend
According to the data monitored by SunSirs, as of August 14, the average price of domestic premium DMF companies was 6,133.33 RMB/ton. The focus of DMF market negotiations has shifted, and the price has been continuously increased. Compared with the same period last month, DMF prices have increased by 25.6%. Compared with the same period of last week, DMF prices have increased by 5.14%, a weekly increase of about 300 RMB/ton.
Analysis review
DMF market prices have been raised broadly, inventory is low, there is a strong bullish mentality, and low prices are hard to find. Some manufacturers are reluctant to sell. At present, downstream demand is general and sales are normal. As of August 14, Luxi Chemicals quoted a price of 6,000 RMB/ton, Zhangqiu Riyue quoted 6,500 RMB/ton, Hualu Hengsheng quoted 6,400 RMB/ton, Shaanxi Xinghua quoted 6,200 RMB/ton, 6,700 RMB/ton in Guangdong, 6,550 RMB/ton in Jiangsu, 6,600 RMB/ton in Zhejiang, 6,500-6,650 yuan /ton in East China market, 6,600-6,800 RMB/ton in South China market.
The upstream methanol sales situation is different, and the overall stability is the main factor. Traders operate cautiously. The downstream just needs to purchase. In the short term, the methanol market will be narrowed.
On August 13, the chemical index was 676 points, an increase of 1 point from previous day, a decrease of 33.46% from the highest point in the cycle of 1016 points (2012-03-13), and an increase of 13.04% from the lowest point of 598 points on April 8, 2020. (Note: Period refers to 2011-12-01 till now)
Market outlook
The DMF analyst of SunSirs believes that in the short term, DMF will mainly digest the previous increase, and the inventory is still tight.
