SunSirs: Domestic DMF Market Prices Increased Due to Low Inventory

According to the data monitored by SunSirs, as of August 06, the average price of domestic premium DMF companies was 5,833.33 RMB/ton. The focus of DMF market negotiations has shifted, and the price has continued to rise. Compared with the same period last month, DMF prices have increased by 19.86%. Compared with the same period last week, DMF prices have increased by 10.76%, a weekly increase of about 600 RMB/ton.
Analysis review
DMF's current supply is tight, some companies focus on maintenance, the market continues to rise, the bullish mentality still exists, the downstream demand is normal, and the business is normal. As of August 6th, Luxi Chemical offered 5,500 RMB/ton, Zhangqiu Riyue offered 5,600 RMB/ton, Hualu Hengsheng offered 6,400 RMB/ton, Anyang Jiutian offered 5,700 RMB/ton, Shaanxi Xinghua offered 5,650 RMB/ton, Guangdong area 6,200 yuan RMB/ton, 5,950 RMB/ton in Jiangsu area, 6,050 RMB/ton in Zhejiang area, 5,350-5,500 RMB/ton in East China market, 5,500-5,700 RMB/ton in South China market.
The upstream methanol mainly fluctuates within a narrow range, the inventory is low, and the downstream just needs to purchase. Currently, the business is normal and the operation is cautious. In the short term, narrow-range consolidation will be the focus.
On August 5, the chemical index was 671 points, an increase of 1 point from previous day, a decrease of 33.96% from the highest point in the cycle of 1016 points (2012-03-13), and an increase of 12.21% from the lowest point of 598 points on April 8, 2020. (Note: The period refers to 2011-12-01 till now).
Market outlook
The DMF analyst of SunSirs believes that in the short term, DMF will mainly digest the previous increase, and the inventory is still tight.
