According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, the price of rayon yarn fell with the viscose staple fiber. As of September 29, 2022 (30S, ring spinning, first-class products), the average ex-factory price was 18,166 RMB/ton, showing a situation where there was no market for price. Compared with last week, the price dropped by nearly 200 RMB/ton, a weekly decrease of 0.73%, and a decrease of nearly 500 RMB/ton from the price at the beginning of the month, with a monthly decrease of 2.50%.

Price change of raw material viscose staple fiber

Domestic viscose staple fiber market prices fell weakly. As of September 29, 2022, the domestic ex-factory price of 1.2D*38mm viscose staple fiber was 13,840 RMB/ton, down 320 RMB/ton from last week, a weekly decrease of 2.26%, down 1,020 RMB/ton from the price in early September, a monthly decrease of 6.86%.

Inventory and Demand

Recently, the operating rate of rayon yarn enterprises has basically remained stable. Some areas still sold rayon yarn at low prices, but the actual transaction situation had not changed. The downstream still maintained the level of just-needed purchases, and the finished product inventory of rayon yarn enterprises increased within a narrow range. The downstream orders of rayon yarn were not as expected, the terminal demand showed no signs of improvement, the willingness to take goods was not high in the short term, and the demand side continued to operate weakly.

Market outlook

With the arrival of the National Day holiday next week, some rayon yarn companies may stop work and leave, and the performance of rayon yarn companies will decrease in a narrow range next week. In addition, from the perspective of demand, the weak market situation is difficult to alleviate, and the company's operation is still dominated by priority shipments; the quotation of upstream viscose staple fiber raw material dissolving pulp also shows a downward trend, and the market sentiment is pessimistic. At present, the downstream expectations of 'golden September and silver October' are relatively disappointing, and they are pessimistic about the market outlook.
