SunSirs: Cement Prices in East China Fluctuate and Consolidate
November 09 2023 10:59:07SunSirs(Selena)

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, cement prices in East China have been fluctuating and consolidating recently. This week, the price was 325.00 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.62% month on month, and the current price has decreased by 15.80% year-on-year.

Recently, the cement market in some parts of East China has been fluctuating and consolidating. From the above chart, it can be seen that the cement market has been slightly upward in the past three months, and prices have continued to consolidate this week. This week, cement demand remained low, inventory digestion was poor, and the rise was weak, with the cement market in East China mainly consolidating.

Recently, the overall price of steam coal has declined. In terms of production areas, some coal mines have experienced production reductions and maintenance, but the pressure on coal mine inventory is still significant. In terms of downstream ports, there is a strong bearish atmosphere, and the downstream maintains a wait-and-see attitude. Coal prices continue to decline, and it is expected that the short-term weak consolidation operation of thermal coal will be the main focus, depending on the downstream market demand.

Downstream funding issues are still ongoing, and demand recovery is poor. Specifically, the marginal investment in real estate has weakened again and is still bottoming out in the short term, with weak support for the cement market.

According to the prediction of SunSirs, the demand side of cement is still weak in the near future. The golden nine silver ten has passed, and the cement market has not seen a significant increase. The following is about to enter a seasonal off-season. Therefore, cement product analysts from SunSirs believe that in the short term, the cement market will mainly experience a slight decline.
