SunSirs: Cement Prices in East China Fell first and then Rose in September
September 28 2023 13:24:46SunSirs(Selena)

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the cement market in East China fell first and then rose in September. The price at the beginning of the month was 331.00 RMB/ton, while the price at the middle of the month was 321.00 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.24%. The price at the end of the month was 323.00 RMB/ton, and the current price has decreased by 18.84% compared to last year.

In September, cement prices in some parts of East China fluctuated, falling first and then rising. From the above figure, it can be seen that the cement market has been declining in the past three months. At the end of this month, the market began to rise tentatively. Around September 1st, cement prices in Suqian, Lianyungang, and other places in Jiangsu Province decreased by 10-20 RMB/ton. The reason for the decline is that the construction progress of downstream construction sites and mixing plants is average, demand is weak, and the market continues to decline due to the significant impact of typhoons and rainfall weather. On September 18th, several places in Jiangsu, including Suzhou, Wuxi, Nanjing, Nantong, Yancheng, and Huai'an, announced an increase of 20 RMB/ton in the price of high standard cement. The reason for the increase is that the weather is sunny, the demand in the construction market has improved, and the increase in raw material coal and clinker prices has driven the rise in the cement market in East China.

According to the prediction of SunSirs, the market demand in East China has improved, so cement product analysts from SunSirs believe that in the short term, the cement market will mainly experience a slight increase.
