According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the domestic price of sodium metabisulfite was weaker this week. The average price of industrial sodium metabisulfite at the beginning of the week was 1,883.33 RMB/ton, and the average price at the weekend was 1,866.67 RMB/ton, down 0.88% in the week.

Analysis review

Supported by the stabilization of raw material prices, the overall price of sodium metabisulfite in the domestic market was weak and stable this week. The domestic industrial sodium metabisulfite market price range was 1,800-2,300 RMB/ton, and most prices were concentrated around 1,800-1,900 RMB/ton. The inventory of the enterprise was about 30%, mainly completed old customer orders.

As of July 14, the price of domestic soda ash had risen slightly by 1.02%, and the price of sulfur had risen by 7.94% last week. The rebound of raw material price will support the market price of sodium metabisulfite in the future.

Market outlook

Analysts from SunSirs believe that the cost of raw materials had stopped falling and picked up, and the market price of sodium metabisulfite in China will stabilize as a whole in the short term.
