SunSirs: Malaysia's Palm Oil Output Fell 9.16% During Dec. 1-5
December 08 2022 09:58:57According to data from the South Malaysian Palm Oil Association (SPOMMA), Malaysian palm oil production will decrease by 9.16% month-on-month from December 1-5, 2022. Among them, the yield per unit area of fresh fruit bunches decreased by 9.00% from the previous month, and the oil yield rate (OER) decreased by 0.03%.
La Niña has led to heavy rains during the monsoon and a high risk of flooding, which could hamper fresh fruit bunch harvests in Indonesia and Malaysia, affecting palm oil production in November and December.
In addition, data from ITS, a shipping survey agency, shows that Malaysia's palm oil exports from December 1 to 5, 2022 will be 223,757 tons, a decrease of 12.6% from 256,028 tons in the same period last month.
