SunSirs: Acrylic Acid Market Rose Steadily after the Holiday

According to the data of SunSirs’ bulk list, as of May 13th, the average price of acrylic acid in East China was 10,833.33 RMB/ton, an increase of 4.84% compared with the price on May 6, an increase of 12.46% compared with April 13, and an increase of 34.85% compared with the same period last year.

Analysis review

Returning after the holiday, the acrylic acid market remained strong. At present, the price of raw material propylene is high, the cost is under pressure, the spot supply in the market is limited, the enthusiasm for downstream inquiries has increased, the market trading atmosphere is active, and the focus of negotiations has steadily increased.

Upstream propylene, as of May 13, the price of propylene in the Shandong region rose slightly. According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the price of propylene in Shandong continued to rise in early and mid-April, and the price fell sharply in late April, and remained stable at the end of the month. In the first two days of the May 1st holiday, the propylene market continued its steady trend. From the 3rd to the 7th, the propylene market rose by about 50 RMB/ton per day. The price remained stable on the 9th, and the price rose slightly by about 50 RMB/ton on the 13th, the transaction price of propylene market was between 8,330-8,450 RMB/ton, and the mainstream price was about 8,350 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

According to the acrylic acid analysts of SunSirs, the current upstream propylene price is rising slightly, cost support is strengthened, and market transactions are orderly.
