SunSirs: Boosted by Rising Costs, the Market of Cyclohexanone Rose Sharply

Boosted by the rising cost, the domestic market of cyclohexanone has risen sharply recently. Sinopec's pure benzene listing continued to increase by 300 to 7,700 RMB/ton, and the spot price of pure benzene continued to rise, while the price of cyclohexanone enterprises followed the increase. According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of May 10, the average domestic market price of cyclohexanone was 11,060 RMB/ton, and the price increased by 10.82% month-on-month and 94.72% year-on-year.

Analysis review

In terms of raw materials, the price of pure benzene rose sharply. The main factor driving the price rise was the shortage of pure benzene at home and abroad, and the market transaction was good, which caused the price to rise sharply; CPL market rose, CPL profits continued to compress, manufacturers price increased under cost pressure.

Market outlook

The price of pure benzene continues to rise, and the cost support is strong, but the downstream links are currently slow to follow the rise. Cyclohexanone analysts of SunSirs predict that the domestic cyclohexanone market price will consolidate at a high level in the short term.
