According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the average price of oil-based ethylene glycol factory listings in North China this week was 5,233 RMB/ton, up 2.61% from last week.
This week, the price of large single tank of ethylene glycol in eastern China dropped from 5225 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week to 4825 RMB/ton at the end of the week.
Analysis review
The start-up rate of ethylene glycol plant in China is about 71.54%, which is the same as that before the National Day. The start-up rate of coal-based ethylene glycol is 71.06%, which is significantly higher than that before the National Day.
Ethylene glycol port stocks in eastern China were 549,500 tons the day before, up 5 thousand tons from the beginning of the week.
The start-up load of the polyester plant is 89.86%, which is still at a high level. The production and marketing of polyester chips are about 81%, and the production and marketing are increasing.
Market outlook
Ethylene glycol analysts believe that ethylene glycol production capacity is at a high level, but downstream polyester is overall weak. Affected by Saudi Arabia, the price of ethylene glycol rose rapidly last month, and still has a high gap with the previous price. It is expected that in the absence of a significant positive stimulus, the price of ethylene glycol will continue to fall in the near future.
