The lithium carbonate commodity index on March 23 was 111.08, a decrease of 1.53 points from the previous day, and a 72.58% decrease from the highest point of the cycle at 405.10 (2018-01-07), an increase of 12.73% from the lowest point at 98.54 points on October 16, 2014.. (Note: Period refers to 2011-09-01 to now)

 

Analysis review   

Product: According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, the market of lithium carbonate fell on the 23rd. Production enterprises have resumed work one after another, the market operating rate has gradually increased, the supply has increased, downstream users just need to purchase, and some enterprises have lowered prices. The recovery of power market demand is not as expected, and the market atmosphere of battery grade lithium carbonate is weak. On March 23, the average price of industrial grade lithium carbonate in East China was 43,600 RMB/ton, down 1.36% compared with last Friday and 37.54% compared with the same period last year. On March 23, the average price of battery grade lithium carbonate in East China was 50,200 RMB/ton, down 1.95% compared with last Friday and 37.41% compared with the same period last year. At present, the main quotation of industrial lithium carbonate market is around 40,000-47,000 RMB/ton, and that of battery lithium carbonate market is around 47,000-52,000 RMB/ton.

Industry: According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on March 23, 2020, there were 5 commodities in the chemical sector that rose in the commodity price list. The top three commodities were isopropyl alcohol (1.27%), acetone (1.15%), Potassium sulfate (0.88%). There were a total of 33 kinds of goods that fell month-on-month, and 6 kinds of goods that fell by more than 5%, accounting for 6.9% of the number of monitored products in this sector; the top 3 products were styrene (-10.65%), silicone DMC (- 6.73%), n-butanol (industrial grade) (-6.29%). The average daily increase or decrease was -0.95%.

 

Market outlook
