SunSirs: US Crude Oil and Refined Oil Inventories Declined Last Week

According to foreign news on May 7th, an extended survey released on Tuesday showed that US crude oil and refined oil inventories may have declined last week.

On average, the seven analysts interviewed estimated that as of the week ending May 3, US crude oil inventories were expected to decline by approximately 1.1 million barrels.

The American Petroleum Institute (API) will release the industry version inventory report at 4:30 am Beijing time on Wednesday, and the US Energy Information Agency (EIA) will release the official version of the inventory report at 22:30 on Wednesday.

The EIA report shows that as of the week ending April 26th, US crude oil inventories unexpectedly increased by 7.3 million barrels to 460.9 billion barrels, after analysts had expected a decrease of 1.1 million barrels.

Analysts expect that US gasoline inventories will decline by approximately 1.3 million barrels in the week ending May 3rd. During the week, distillate oil inventories, including diesel and heating oil, are expected to decline by approximately 1.1 million barrels.

The survey shows that the capacity utilization rate of the refinery is expected to increase by 0.8 percentage points compared to the previous week's 87.5%.
