According to the monitoring of the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the price of potassium sulfate with a 50% content at the beginning of this week was 3,200 RMB/ton, and the price of potassium sulfate with a 50% content at the end of this week was 3,166 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.04%.
Analysis review
The domestic potassium sulfate manufacturers had weak quotations, with sufficient orders from various manufacturers and basically no inventory in the factory. The recent fluctuations in the market price of raw material potassium chloride had little impact on the recent prices of Mannheim potassium sulfate manufacturers. As of April 19th, the ex factory price of 52% Mannheim potassium sulfate powder was mostly between 3,000-3,300 RMB/ton. The price in the southern market was higher than that in the northern market, and actual transactions were mainly negotiated based on local market prices.
With the recovery of urea prices, compound fertilizer factories had entered summer fertilizer production ahead of schedule. Due to the predominance of high nitrogen fertilizer production in summer, the procurement demand for potassium fertilizer raw materials was relatively limited, and downstream factories had slightly insufficient support for potassium fertilizer demand.
Market outlook
The overall trading volume of the domestic potassium fertilizer market was light, with transactions mainly based on demand. It is expected that the domestic potassium fertilizer market prices may fluctuate mainly in the short term.
