SunSirs: This Week, the Hexafluoropropylene Market Experienced a Weak Downturn (April 15-18)

Price trend

Recently, the market price of hexafluoropropylene had shown a weak downward trend. Downstream demand was cold and procurement was not active, so there was temporarily no good news. According to the data monitoring system of SunSirs, as of April 18th, the benchmark price of hexafluoropropylene in SunSirs was 36,250 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.34% compared to last weekend. On April 16th, some leading enterprises lowered their prices by 500 RMB/ton.

Analysis review

Raw material side: High market prices were under pressure, and production enterprises had thin profits. Recently, the domestic anhydrous hydrofluoric acid market had remained stable. As of the 18th, the market price of hydrofluoric acid was 13,800.00 RMB/ton, an increase of 8.88% compared to the beginning of this month (12,675.00 RMB/ton). The domestic fluorite market had remained stable this week, with an average price of 3,550.00 RMB/ton as of the 18th, an increase of 3.46% compared to the beginning of this month (3,431.25 RMB/ton).

The downstream market was relatively quiet, with poor demand, and mainly maintained purchasing on demand.

Market outlook

SunSirs' hexafluoropropylene analyst predicts that due to the recent high cost support of hexafluoropropylene, downstream market demand was poor, and on-demand procurement affected.
