SunSirs: This Week, the Market Price of IPA Remained Stable with Some Increase (March 6-14)

According to the monitoring of the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the market price of IPA remained stable with an increase this week. Last Thursday, the average price of IPA in China was 8,340 RMB/ton, while this Thursday's average price was 8,360 RMB/ton. The price increased by 0.24% during the week.

Analysis review

This week, the market price of IPA remained stable with some increase. The overall trading situation in the market was average. The market price of raw material acetone had fluctuated and risen, and the cost support was still acceptable. The confidence in the IPA market was average, and the market situation was lukewarm. The market price range was relatively strong and consolidating. As of March 14th, the majority of IPA market quotations in Shandong region were around 8,100-8,400 RMB/ton; The majority of quotes for IPA in the Jiangsu region were based on market reference prices of around 8,400-8,600 RMB/ton.

In terms of raw material acetone, the acetone market price fluctuated this week. Last Thursday, the average price of acetone in China was 7,305 RMB/ton, while this Thursday's average price was 7,307.5 RMB/ton, with a price increase of 0.03%. As of March 14th, the trading situation in the acetone market was still acceptable. It is expected that the acetone market will operate strongly in the short term.

In terms of propylene, according to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the price of propylene in the market fell this week. Last Thursday, the average domestic propylene price was 7,074.6 RMB/ton, while this Thursday's average price was 6,948.6 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.78%. The current overall trading situation of propylene was average. It is expected that the propylene market price will be weaker in the short term.

Market outlook

SunSirs' IPA analyst believes that the upstream acetone price had been strong and fluctuating this week, while the propylene market price had declined, and overall cost support was average. The overall market for IPA was lukewarm, and downstream enterprises replenished on demand, transactions were cautious.
