This week, the domestic first-class titanium sponge market operated steadily. According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the domestic market price of first-class titanium sponge ranged from 53,000 to 55,000 RMB/ton. As of March 14th, the benchmark price of domestic first-class titanium sponge was 54,000.00 RMB/ton. Compared to the beginning of the week, it remained unchanged.

Analysis review

The upstream raw material magnesium market price had decreased this week. According to the data monitoring system of SunSirs, as of March 14th, the benchmark price of magnesium in SunSirs was 17,900.00 RMB/ton, a decrease of 4.45% compared to the beginning of this week (18,733.33 RMB/ton). The cost pressure on titanium sponge production enterprises had been reduced, but inventory was insufficient, and prices would continue to remain strong.

On the downstream side, the demand for titanium materials and the military industry market had increased, and titanium sponge was in a stable demand situation.

Market outlook
