The propylene oxide market was operating weakly and steadily after the holiday. According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of February 23, the average price of propylene oxide for enterprises was 9,150.00 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.27% compared to the price on February 18.

Analysis review

Cost side: According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the reference price of propylene on February 22 was 6,838.25 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.07% compared to February 1 (6,843.25 RMB/ton). After the holiday, the price of raw material propylene was weakly narrower, while the price of raw material liquid chlorine fluctuated at a low level. The cost side provided general support for the propylene oxide market.

Supply and demand side: After the holiday, the industry's inventory was at a moderate level, and factory shipments were average. The demand side was mainly focused on digesting inventory, and new orders were flat. The main focus was following up on propylene oxide in moderation. In addition, some regions were affected by rainy and snowy weather, and the overall market atmosphere was average. On February 22, the mainstream quotation for propylene oxide in Shandong was around 8,850-8,900 RMB/ton.

Market outlook
