According to the market monitoring system for important production materials of the Ministry of Commerce, from January 13th to January 19th, based on the sample data of monitored varieties, the average price of coal in Inner Mongolia was 833.45 RMB/ton, an increase of 1.2% compared to the previous year, and a decrease of 6.7% compared to the same period last year (hereinafter referred to as year-on-year). Among them, the average price of anthracite No.2 washing block coal was 940.86 RMB/ton, an increase of 2.0% month on month and a decrease of 0.3% year on year; The average price of thermal coal with a calorific value of 5,000-5,500 kcal is 658.98 RMB/ton, a month on month increase of 0.1% and a year-on-year decrease of 12.4%; The average price of 1/3 coking coal for coking is 900.5 RMB/ton, a month on month increase of 1.1% and a year-on-year decrease of 8.8%. As the weather gets colder, the rigid demand for heating coal becomes more apparent, and the increase in procurement by heating enterprises drives up the demand for coal, resulting in higher market sales. The increase in demand for power plants and active market transactions have jointly driven the month on month increase in coal prices. It is expected that the coal market will operate steadily in the near future, and prices will fluctuate.
