SunSirs: Affected by Weak Demand, Butyl Acrylate Was Stable and Slightly Declined

Price trend

Recently (1.8-1.15), the price of butyl acrylate had slightly decreased. According to data from SunSirs, as of January 15th, the average price of butyl acrylate in East China was 9,580 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.62% from last Monday. The prices in various regions were as follows: the reference price in the East China market was 10,000 RMB/ton; The reference price for the North China market was 10,100 RMB/ton, while the reference price for the South China market was 10,200 RMB/ton.

Analysis review

The price of n-butanol, the main raw material of butyl acrylate, had once again risen. Supported by high costs, although the price of butyl acrylate had fluctuated slightly, it remained stable overall.

Market outlook

SunSirs' butyl acrylate analyst said that although the butyl acrylate market was related to raw material prices, the overall trading atmosphere in the downstream market was weak. As the end of the year approaching, pre holiday stocking had not yet begun. Under the influence of off-season demand, the overall trading market performance was mediocre, with factories mainly purchasing for essential needs. From the perspective of profitability, high costs created resistance, and the profitability of butyl acrylate was weak, and it is still in a loss zone in the near future.
