On December 7th, the propylene market in Shandong fell under pressure, with mainstream prices ranging from 6,950-7,000 RMB/ton.
Analysis review
Recently, the propylene market had experienced a slight decline, mainly due to the weak downstream demand side. The supply-demand contradiction in the propylene market was increasing, and the upstream inventory level was rising. In order to stimulate sales, prices had been lowered to destock.
Market outlook
Overall, there has been no significant increase in demand recently, and it is expected that the propylene market in Shandong will maintain a weak downward trend in the short term.
