In October, the price of titanium concentrate in the Panxi region rose first and then fell, and the price fell overall. As of October 27th, the tax-free quotation for grade 38-42 titanium ore was around 1,550-1,600 RMB/ton, the tax-free quotation for grade 46-10 titanium concentrate was around 2,200-2,220 RMB/ton, and the quotation for grade 47-20 titanium concentrate was around 2,350-2,480 RMB/ton.
Analysis review
As of October 27th, the operating situation of the titanium ore market was average, and there was some pressure on enterprises to ship. Downstream enterprises were more wait-and-see, procurement was cautious, and actual transactions were limited. The market quotation had slightly declined.
According to customs data, in September 2023, China imported 252,000 tons of titanium ore, a decrease of 28.09% year-on-year and 47.32% month on month, with a monthly average price of 339.82 US dollars per ton; From January to September 2023, the cumulative import of titanium ore was 3.3028 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 26.11%, and the import volume increased by approximately 683,800 tons.
Market outlook
