On October 12th, the commodity price index (BPI) stood at 994 points, a decrease of 5 points from yesterday, a decrease of 25.99% from the cycle's highest point of 1,343 points (2021-10-19), and an increase of 50.61% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016. (Note: The cycle refers to the period from December 1st, 2011 to the present)
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, there were a total of 24 commodities that showed a month on month increase in the list of commodity prices on October 12, 2023, concentrated in the chemical industry sector (8 types in total) and the non-ferrous metal sector (4 types in total). The top three commodities with a rise were coal tar (high-temperature) (3.01%), natural rubber (2.02%), and petroleum coke (1.39%). There are a total of 80 commodities that have decreased month on month, mainly in the chemical industry (35 in total) and rubber and plastic industry (11 in total), while commodities with a decrease of more than 5% are mainly concentrated in the chemical industry sector; The top three commodities with a decline were acetic acid (-7.02%), acetic anhydride (-6.25%), and aniline (-6.05%). The average daily increase or decrease is -0.34%.
