SunSirs: The Price of Titanium Concentrate in Panxi Region Slightly Increased in September

In September, the price of titanium concentrate in the Panxi region slightly increased. As of the 26th, the tax-free quotation for grade 38-42 titanium ore was around 1,580-1,600 RMB/ton, the tax-free quotation for grade 46-10 titanium concentrate was around 2,220-2,260 RMB/ton, and the quotation for grade 47-20 titanium concentrate was around 2,300-2,460 RMB/ton.

Analysis review

As of September 26th, the operating situation of the titanium ore market was average, and there was not much inventory on site. The spot market for titanium concentrate was slightly tight. As the National Day holiday approached, downstream enterprises were mostly wait-and-see, the actual transactions were limited and the market quotations were firm and strong.

According to customs data, in August 2023, China imported 478,500 tons of titanium ore, an increase of 107.91% year-on-year and 22.04% month on month, with a monthly average price of 314.02 US dollars per ton; From January to August 2023, the cumulative import of titanium ore was 3.0507 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 34.48%, and the import volume increased by approximately 782,300 tons.

Market outlook

In the short term, the market price of titanium concentrate is mainly stable, and the actual transaction price is negotiable.
