According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the price of domestic sodium metabisulfite remained stable and forward this week. The average price of industrial grade sodium metabisulfite at the beginning of the week was 1,933.33 RMB/ton, and the average price at the weekend was 1,933.33 RMB/ton, indicating a stable movement overall.
Analysis review
Supported by a slight rebound in raw material costs, the overall domestic market price of sodium metabisulfite remained stable and advanced this week. The domestic industrial grade sodium metabisulfite market price range this week was 1,900 to 2,300 RMB/ton, with most prices concentrated around 1,900 to 2,000 RMB/ton. The inventory of enterprises was relatively low, mainly to complete orders from old customers.
As of August 11th, domestic soda ash prices continued to rise, rising 3.01% within the month. Sulfur prices rebounded significantly, rising 14.06% within the month. The continued rise in raw material costs will further support the domestic sodium metabisulfite market prices in the future.
Market outlook
