According to data from SunSirs, on July 26th, the quotation for seamless tubes was 4,715 RMB/ton, an increase of 1.67% compared to the previous trading day.
Analysis review
Upstream, there was a slight increase in tube billets, including a 20 RMB/ton increase in the factory price of Steel Investment tube billets, a 20 RMB/ton increase in the factory price of Dongfang tube billets, and other mainstream steel mills also had expectations for an increase. In the past two days, the Politburo had issued favorable policies. Although the steel mills had implemented flat control policies, the decrease in blast furnace and molten iron production wa not significant. The combination of double coke and iron ore had driven up ferrous metal futures, and the prices of tube billets were relatively strong.
In terms of the tube factory, the factory price of the tube factory had slightly increased by 30-50 RMB/ton, but downstream terminals did not have a high acceptance of the high priced resources of the tube factory, and the transaction was average.
Market outlook
It is expected that the price of seamless pipes will be stable and tend to strengthen in the near future.
