On July 5th, the commodity price index (BPI) stood at 906 points, unchanged from the previous day, a decrease of 32.54% from the cycle's highest point of 1,343 points (2021-10-19), and an increase of 37.27% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016. (Note: The cycle refers to the period from December 1st, 2011 to the present)
According to the price monitoring of the business community, on July 5, 2023, there were 60 kinds of commodities in the list of commodity price rises and falls, concentrated in the chemical sector (20 kinds in total) and the rubber and plastic sector (10 kinds in total). The top three commodities were liquid ammonia (2.45%), Brent crude oil (2.14%) and Petroleum coke (2.07%). There are a total of 48 commodities that have decreased month on month, mainly in the chemical industry (15 in total) and non-ferrous metals (11 in total), while commodities with a decrease of more than 5% are mainly concentrated in the chemical industry sector; The top three commodities with a decline were Ammonium nitrate (-6.57%), Sodium metabisulfite (-3.39%) and methanol (-1.50%). The daily average increase or decrease is 0%.
