On May 5, the market price of 2-EH in Shandong increased significantly, 857.15 RMB/ton higher than that on May 4, up 9.44%, and down 19.87% year on year.
Upstream propylene prices consolidated at low levels, with average cost support. Downstream DOP prices significantly increased, and downstream demand had increased. Some manufacturers’ devices were shut down for maintenance, resulting in a tight supply of 2-EH. Under the contradiction between supply and demand, the product trend was upward.
Market outlook
The ex factory price of 2-EH in Shandong region may fluctuate up slightly in the short term, with an average market price of around 11,000 RMB/ton.
