The performance of domestic caustic soda market is not good. The market is not willing to trade, and the transaction is tepid. The market performance of 32% ion-exchange membrane caustic soda in Shandong Province is not good, the quotation is about 570-630 RMB/ton, and the market transaction is general. The downstream demand is reduced, and the starting load of chlor alkali enterprises may be adjusted. It is expected that in the later stage, the general operation will be dominant. The caustic soda market in Jiangsu Province is stable for the time being, with 32% of the mainstream soda market at 680-720 RMB/ton and 48% at 1,140-1,160 RMB/ton. The market turnover is relatively fair, and most of the operators are in a wait-and-see attitude at present.
Analysts of SunSirs think that there are not many caustic soda overhaul enterprises and the overall supply of caustic soda is sufficient. Near the Spring Festival, the transportation management of hazardous chemicals will be more strict, liquid chlorine transportation may have certain restrictions, the downstream demand will gradually reduce, and the starting load of chlor alkali enterprises may be adjusted. The short-term market price may be mainly weak, depending on the downstream market demand.
