SunSirs: In January, the NMP Market Remained Stable and Slightly Changed

According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the domestic NMP market operated smoothly in January with little fluctuation. The average price of electronic NMP at the beginning of the month was 23,000 RMB/ton, and the average price at the end of the month was 22,666 RMB/ton, with a monthly decrease of 1.45%.

Analysis review

In January, the domestic NMP market fluctuated limited and the price trend was relatively weak. The rising cost of raw materials at the beginning of the month had brought some support to the NMP market. Most of the enterprises in the market followed the market. The atmosphere of downstream purchase was general, which suppressed the rise of NMP, and the price of NMP was weak and downward. Before and after the Spring Festival, the downstream stock preparation was nearing the end, and the market performance was not volatile. The downstream demand was general, and the transaction price was mostly in line with the market. After the festival, the price of raw materials rose significantly, and the NMP market had a bullish expectation.

In January, the raw material BDO rose all the way, especially after the festival. After the holiday, the market in many industries in the downstream rose, boosting the attitude of the holding manufacturers, and the offer was high-end. Downstream followed up as required, and the market center of gravity fluctuated upward.

Market outlook

According to NMP analysts of SunSirs, under the transmission of raw material cost, it is expected that there will be room for the NMP market to rise in February.
