As of January 6, the daily average price of spot 304/2B stainless steel plates 1.0 * 1219 * 2438 (tolerance 0.91) was 17,450 RMB/ton, up 1.01% from the price of 17,275 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week and down 1.23% year on year.
Analysis review
According to the price difference analysis tool of SunSirs, the recent price trend of nickel and stainless steel is basically the same, and the recent price of stainless steel deviated from that of nickel.
This week's stainless steel inventory totaled 1.0345 million tons, up 12.3% from last week, both cold rolling inventory and hot rolling inventory increased.
The cost of stainless steel is high, and it is difficult for the cost to fall in the short term. Affected by the reduction of steel plant production, the current inventory pressure of traders is not large. At present, traders believe that the market demand will be repaired after the Spring Festival. In addition, the transaction of low price resources has not improved significantly, so they are not willing to reduce the price for shipment. Most of them will ship after the year.
