The downward pressure on isooctanol has weakened, and upward support still existed.
Downstream plasticizer DOP prices stopped falling and rose in March
According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of March 28th, the DOP price was 8,263.75 RMB/ton, which had stopped falling and instead increased by 0.75% compared to the DOP price of 8,326.25 RMB/ton on March 1st. The stable operation of DOP plasticizer enterprises, the recovery of plasticizer production, and the weak downstream demand for plasticizers have led to a decline in plasticizer prices. With the price drop, plasticizer profits have declined, and plasticizer prices have rebounded, Downstream demand supported for isooctanol, and upward support for isooctanol still existed.
Market outlook
According to the octanol product data analyst of SunSirs, downstream demand was weak, and manufacturers of isooctanol have added new equipment, resulting in an increase in isooctanol supply and a decrease in demand. As a result, the price support for isooctanol has decreased. With the rebound of downstream plasticizer prices, the price of isooctanol has stopped falling and risen. In the future, plasticizer DOP enterprises are operating at a high level, and demand for isooctanol still exists to support it. The production of isooctanol enterprises is increasing, and the supply of isooctanol is increasing.
