Properties：Colorless crystal, easily deliquescent, with two types of crystals, A-shaped crystal, relative density 1.896, melting point 39.7 ℃, decomposes when heated to 132 ℃. Dissolve in water, ethanol, and acetone. Insoluble in nitric acid, oxidizing, can cause combustion when in contact with flammable materials, corrosive, and can cause burns.
Application： Used as an analytical reagent and as a chromogenic reagent in thin layer chromatography for detecting diphenylamine. It is also used as fireworks material and in the electronics, instrumentation, and metallurgical industries.
