SunSirs: The Ethyl Alcohol Market Was Slightly Sorted out

According to the sample data monitored by SunSirs, from November 7 to 14, the domestic ethyl alcohol market was slightly sorted out. At the beginning of the week, the average price of domestic ethyl alcohol producers remained at 6,737 RMB/ton, and at the end of the week, it reached 6,725 RMB/ton. The price fell 0.19% within the week, down 0.92% month on month, and down 3.58% year on year.

Analysis review

The domestic ethyl alcohol market continued to be dominated by weak transactions. The supply side eas relatively abundant in the short term, and the production unit operation was higher than that in October. However, the demand side had a limited boost in the short term, and it continued to be weak. It is difficult to see obvious benefits in the short term. The transaction price of domestic ethyl alcohol market continues to be weak.

In terms of raw materials and costs, SunSirs monitored that the domestic corn market price was relatively strong, rising 0.35% from the price of 2,802 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week to 2,827 RMB/ton at the end of the week.

From the perspective of downstream products, the operating rate of ethyl acetate in the downstream remained basically stable, and the price was low. SunSirs monitored that the price of ethyl acetate remained at 6,950 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week, and fell to 6,933 RMB/ton at the weekend, with a 0.24% drop in the price during the cycle.

Market outlook

In the short term, the price of corn is mainly stable, and the supply in the later period is increased, which may be weak. The downstream ethyl acetate operates weakly and stably. The ethyl alcohol analysts of SunSirs predicted that the domestic ethyl alcohol market would be weak in the short term.
