SunSirs: Domestic Hydrochloric Acid Prices Fell 6.12% This Week (September 3-9)

As can be seen from the above figure, the domestic price of hydrochloric acid fell slightly this week, and the average market price fell from 163.33 RMB/ton last weekend to 153.33 RMB/ton this weekend. Compared with the same period last year, it fell by 44.58% year-on-year.

On September 12, the hydrochloric acid commodity index was 40.35, the same as previous day, down 70.74% from the highest point in the cycle (137.89 points on 2021-10-26), and up 124.42% from the lowest point of 17.98 points on September 05, 2012. (Note: The cycle refers to 2011-09-01 to the present)

Analysis review

Judging from the quotations from manufacturers, the domestic market price of hydrochloric acid fell slightly this week. Wenshui synthetic hydrochloric acid was quoted at 100 RMB/ton this weekend, which was down by 30 RMB/ton compared with last weekend; Liaocheng Huatong's hydrochloric acid was quoted at 100 RMB/ton this weekend, which was temporarily stable compared with last weekend; Xiangcheng Sanan's hydrochloric acid was quoted at 260 RMB/ton this weekend, which was temporarily stable compared with last weekend.

From the perspective of the upstream and downstream industrial chain of hydrochloric acid, the upstream liquid chlorine market was consolidating at a low level, and the cost support was insufficient. The market price of downstream polyaluminum chloride fell slightly, from 2,095.00 RMB/ton last weekend to 2,071.25 RMB/ton this weekend, a decrease of 1.13%, and a year-on-year increase of 17.54%; the market price of ammonium chloride fell slightly, from 1,057.50 RMB/ton last weekend to 975.00 RMB/ton this weekend, a decrease of 7.80%.On the whole, the upstream support was insufficient, and the enthusiasm for downstream procurement was weakened.

Market outlook

In mid-September, the market price of hydrochloric acid may fluctuate within a narrow range. The upstream liquid chlorine market has been consolidating at a low level recently, and the cost support is insufficient. The downstream polyaluminum chloride and ammonium chloride market prices have fallen slightly, and the downstream purchase intention is general.
