SunSirs: Costs Have Fallen, and the PAC Market Has Dropped Slightly in Recent Days

According to the monitoring data of the business agency, the domestic PAC trend has been slightly lowered in recent days: on November 1st, the domestic mainstream price of solid (industrial grade, content ≥28%) PAC was 2,638.89 RMB/ton, and the mainstream price on the 4th was around 2,600 RMB/ton, a drop of 1.47% in three days.

Analysis review

Upstream raw material: hydrochloric acid. According to the monitoring of the business agency, after the domestic hydrochloric acid market price dropped by 24% in the last week of last month, hydrochloric acid continued to decrease from 386 RMB/ton to 328 RMB/ton from the 1st to the 4th of this month, a 15% drop in 4 days.

At present, water treatment companies are still subject to the impact of changes in their raw material costs and declining demand, and the market has weakened slightly.

Market outlook

Regarding the market outlook, pay close attention to the impact of the recent economic situation on bulk raw materials, and the financial attributes of water treatment products are weak, so more attentions should be paid to the price and cost of upstream raw materials and changes in downstream procurement. It is expected that under the current situation, the price of PAC is more likely to continue to fluctuate downward slightly in the short term.
